Let us now return to St. Augustine’s question: what is time? We have determined that when time is understood as self-relational, it inevitably fragments into discrete, isolated, and infinitely divisible “points.” How is it possible to avoid the fall into atomized point-time? The answer to this question cannot be separated from an equally puzzling question, namely, what is eternity?
